  • Severus

    BALL PYTHON

    Arriving at COGNiTiON in 2017 as an injured baby snake-Sevy is a fan favorite of the center. His calm demeanor and extremely outgoing personality makes him our top candidate for traveling field trips and center cuddles.

  • Dandy

    SULCATA TORTOISE

    Dandy was a rescued stray, brought to us by a caring family in Aug 2017. Then he was a tiny little fellow, maybe about 10 inches long. Now he has grown and stomped on many hearts and shoes through the years!

  • Candy Corn

    CORN SNAKE

    If you have never met a Corn snake-they are some of the most mischievous slithery serpents out there. Candy is known for her affinity for going into sleeves and shirts to have cuddles.

  • Levicorpus

    Spider Morph

    Levy is a special animal to meet. Born with a disability that just makes him a little extra wobbly but this doesn’t stop him from enjoying a snuggle on your lap. He was donated by the local animal shelter.

  • Fig

    LEOPARD GECKO

    Fig is a new member to our team. Donated by the same family as Mango the Bearded Dragon. She is a young girl and is very social and adorable.

  • COGSWORTH

    RING NECKED TURTLE DOVE

    Coggy can be found atop is favorite stuffed coyote with a full view of the center. He is super sweet and social and loves to be perched on guests while getting gentle pets.

    You may get to experience him singing to us throughout the day.

  • Mango

    BEARDED DRAGON

    Our newest reptile who was generously gifted by a family who has to travel for their career. He was donated with his beautiful cage. He is still young so you may see him scurrying inside his cage or out and about watching the Marine Tank.

    He also enjoys cuddles so don’t be afraid it sit in the rocking chair and enjoy his company.

  • Poppy and Periwinkle

    STANDARD & REX RATS

    Obtained on June 20th 2026 from Scutes and Scales in Cadillac as replacements for our previous rats who are now retired.

    Poppy is gray with curly/wavy fur and each visit she will have different lengths of fur. Periwinkle is white with a tiny scar on her nose and is afraid of nothing.

  • Milo

    FERRET

    Milo is the newest member of our center team. On loan during his families move from one home to another. Until the can be found zooming around the center after the children, exploring the Big Block room and snoozing in the arms of a guest.

    Born in September/August of 2025-he is still a baby and has endless energy.

Our newest Ambassadors

This is Princess Peanut Butter Cup our newest snake. She is a baby ball python donated by our Snake loving friend Mr. King. She is a ‘Fire/Clown Morph’ and was born on 05/300/2025. She is extremely sweet and well tempered and we are so excited to have her!

Meet Peaches our newest Hedgehog. This little girl has beautiful white quills on her sides. She may be in the animal coral getting used to the sights and sounds of COG.

Started in 2022 with just a few rocks, two clownfish and a hope. With lots of learning, researching and help from valuable friends-we have a flourishing Marine Ecosystem.

You will see 2 clown fish, a bicolor blenny, hermit crabs, live coral and so much more.

During your visit you may get to see the tank being fed or cleaned as maintaining this tank takes a lot of work.
