Field Trips

From independent exploration, to station rotation or special subject focus, we'll cater to your group’s learning needs and desires. We will typically recommend that you split the class into four groups and will have the center divided into stations, that way we can rotate each group through and they get a chance to enjoy each area without crowding.

  • Basic Field Trip

    $8/student (minimum $150)

    2 hour visit

    Available Mon & Tue 9-5*

    Up to 50 guests

    • Optimal group sizes are 15-30 students with 2-10 chaperones

    • $8 per student with a minimum of $150, up to 10 chaperones free

    • *Other scheduling arrangements are possible, depending on seasonal attendance and staff availability

  • Field Trip + Planetarium Add-On

    $11/student (minimum $150)

    2 ½ hour visit with a 15-35 minute planetarium show (depending on age)

    • $11 per student with a minimum of $150

  • Field Trip + Virtual Reality Add-On

    $11/student (minimum $150)

    2 ½ hour visit with a chance for everyone to have about 10 minutes of virtual reality.

Field Trip FAQ

  • Yes! There are a couple options of how to do this, so we’ll try to capture that information ahead of time by listing these options during scheduling:

    • We can either build “lunch time” into one of your rotations during the regular timeframe of your fieldtrip (no extra cost)

    • Or, we can add an extra half hour on to your field trip time so that it doesn’t take away from anything else (+ $30)

    • Or, you are welcome to picnic outside on our property before or after your field trip time at no extra cost (no extra cost, we’d just like to know ahead to make sure someone is in the building for bathroom access and assistance).

  • Yes! We ask that parents bringing siblings just pitch in a discounted rate of $5 per kiddo (over 2 yr) to help support the center.

  • The center is typically closed to the public on Field Trip days, so your bus or parent vehicles are welcome to take over our parking lot right in front of the building.
