Hello Team!
Please read and initial the Team Notes & wonderful impact survey results we received last weekend
New admission pricing is live- VP and Planetarium are now included in both daily admission and memberships. There is a new instruction sheet at the register.
Spring Break schedule starts this weekend. It should be busy, so please make sure that chores are happening during any downtime and try to keep someone near the front to ensure nobody is waiting to come in and everyone leaving gets a sticker and that we’re telling them thanks for coming.
Please fill out the 2 forms in your folder - you can return to Marley or Kimmee, or leave them in your folder for us to grab. Just let us know if you have any questions!
Cell phones must be left in the office or the kitchen to be checked periodically or to look something up for a guest. (Shift leads will be using their phones for more things)
We do not let guests take animals out without a volunteer name tag, and then as volunteers they are sharing the animals with other guests. I know that in the slow season rules get relaxed a bit, but we need to “tidy-up” this behavior because it is very confusing and frustrating to other guests. Yes, we do get to know the families that come often, but we cannot give them preferential treatment or let them be rude to other guests (it was guest children in this case). I will be calling Amanda this week, so she will be in the know, and is welcome to volunteer if she wants to get the animals out.
REMINDER: $5 charge for extra guests coming with members. (Plus families get 2 free guests, any additional guests pay $5 each) — please use the button called “Member Guest” to charge them $5 per additional person. If there’s any issues, let the customer be right ;)
